Immersion heater elements, thermostats and wiring checked and replaced when the hot water stops working.
When hot water stops or the immersion trips the electrics, we test the element, thermostat and wiring to find out which part has failed. Elements and thermostats are replaced on the spot where possible, so hot water is usually back on the same visit.
This often comes up alongside a wider boiler fault, and we'll check both at the same time rather than send someone back out separately, so the whole hot water system is sorted in one go.

Our boiler malfunctioned over a bank holiday weekend when we had guests staying over and had no hot running water. I called A and J Punter who have been servicing our gas boiler . I received a very polite, prompt and understanding response from Andrew who quickly identified the problem and came to replace it on the next working day. He not only changed the combustion fan but sorted out the immersion heater wire too . I was away during the repair and was pleased to hear that he arrived well on time and did a very tidy job .
