What does the process look like, from first contact to installation?
It starts with a free site survey, I come out, take measurements, discuss what you have in mind and advise on the best options for your home. From there I put together a fixed written quote with a clear price. Once you're happy to go ahead, we agree a start date and I carry out the installation, handling everything start to finish. There are no hidden costs and no strangers turning up
How much will my project cost?
Every project is quoted individually after a free site survey, the cost depends on the size, specification and any structural work involved. I don't give rough figures over the phone because a number without a proper survey is rarely accurate. What I can promise is a clear written price before any commitment, so you know exactly what you're getting and exactly what it costs.
Are you insured and is the work guaranteed?
Yes, Shelfbank Windows is fully insured for public liability and all work carries a workmanship guarantee. I'm a family business that has been trading since 2001, standing behind my work is how I've built my reputation. If anything isn't right once the job is done, I'll come back and put it right.
How long does installation typically take?
Lead times and installation duration vary depending on the type of project. A window or door replacement is usually completed in a day. A conservatory or warm roof replacement will take longer, I'll give you a realistic programme as part of the written quote, so you know what to expect before you commit.
Is there any help available with financing or grants?
Finance and grant availability varies depending on your circumstances, property type and the nature of the work. I'm happy to discuss what might be available when we meet for the site survey, so you have the full picture before making any decisions. Every project is costed transparently from the outset.
