Chimney Sweeping
Chimney Sweeping in Colchester
Rods and brushes through the full flue, soot bagged and cleared, hearth left as we found it.
We sheet off the hearth before starting so nothing gets marked, then work the rods and brush the full length of the flue to clear soot and any tar build-up. Everything comes down onto the sheet and is bagged and taken away, and we vacuum the hearth and surrounding area before we leave.
Once the sweep is done we check how the fire is drawing and flag anything that needs attention, whether that's a bird's nest, a cracked liner or just a build-up that's worse than usual. You get a certificate for your records and, if you'd like, a reminder when your next annual sweep is due.
What's included
- Full sweep of flue and chimney
- Soot sheet down to protect the room
- Vacuum of hearth and stove after
- Certificate issued on completion
- Advice on any draw problems found

An excellent service! Good appointment booking system and was kept fully informed on the ETA. Chimney flue and wood burner working much better after a thorough clean. Mike is a very pleasant, helpful chap that talked me through the process of getting the Wood burner working efficiently. I will definitely use Dedham Vale Chimney Sweeps Ltd again. Thanks Mike
