Flexible Flue Liner Installation
Flexible Flue Liner Installation in Chigwell
Stainless steel and twin wall flexible flue liners fitted to manufacturer specification inside existing chimneys, sized correctly for the appliance.
Most existing chimneys need lining before a stove can be connected to them, the original flue is often too large for a modern stove's output, which causes poor draw and accelerated tar build-up. A correctly sized flexible liner brings the internal diameter down to match the appliance, runs the full length of the chimney and connects directly to the stove collar. I use stainless steel liners rated for solid fuel or gas as appropriate, in the gauge and grade the stove manufacturer specifies.
The liner type depends on what's being connected: a single skin flexible liner suits most standard installs; a twin wall flexible liner is used where the chimney is particularly cold or exposed and additional insulation is needed to maintain flue gas temperature. I'll confirm which is right during the survey. The job involves accessing the chimney from top and bottom, pulling the liner through, making all the connections good and sealing the register plate properly, a complete installation, not just a liner dropped in.

Rafal and his wife did a beautiful job and offered really great advice. They arrived on time, were neat and tidy, no surprise costs. They provided all the bits and bobs (apart from stove) and were also helped us get our hearth stone so everything was very easy. The stove and alcove look gorgeous, better than we had hoped.
What a great experience! We wanted to change our old log burner to a new efficient burner. We had used Rafel for a repair a couple of years ago so I asked him for a quote for installation and I would get the Burner and Hearth. He then recommended a supplier that he uses and the choice and value were great. The day of installation they arrived on time and started work. They covered all the area they were working and within about 3 hours they had removed the old burner, installed the liner, hearth and the new burner. They left the whole area spotless. We are absolutely thrilled with our burner and have no hesitation in recommending Rafel.
Must say, superb service! Rafa came to assess our Log burner, addressed the problems, cleaned the burner and installed the flue correctly,. Professional and thorough. Would highly recommend
